Cubaris sp “Amber”

These brightly colored isopods are typically golden with two stripes along their backsides. But as you can see here, they also sometimes have random blotches along their stripes. They are somewhat of a smaller Cubaris species, adults only getting around 3/4 of an inch in length. Amber isopods are slow too mature. Taking some time to establish, but will breed all year once acclimated.

Cubaris sp “Amber” isopods have anywhere from 1-20 babies at a time. Taking around 8-9 months to reach potential breeding size, this is a very rewarding species to keep! They can be quite active compared to most other Cubaris species. Typically always find them foraging in the leaf litter, not normally always in the same spot.
